il rock come panacea di tutti i mali
Poiche' come avrete ormai capito sono uno che si fa abbastanza pippe mentali e necessita di sviscerare le cose, analizzarle, sezionarle e ricomporle per tentare di capirne il senso, sempre che le vicende umane, emotive e emozionali un senso lo abbiano, ho sempre avuto bisogno, per tentare di trovare una risposta alle mie domande, di cercare e trovare altre esperienze simili alle mie, perché ho sempre ritenuto con convinzione che solo l'empatia e la compassione ee il vivere le stesse esperienze degli altri esseri umani mi aiutasse se non a trovare le risposte, quanto meno a sentirmi meno solo nel pormi le domande.
Ora, letteratura e cinema in questo mi hanno molto aiutato ma la fonte alla quale mi sono sempre abbeverato con maggiore soddisfazione è la musica rock, perché è lì che ho trovato maggiore affinità con la mia Anima.
E porto sempre nel cuore la frase, - una grande verità - di uno dei più grandi artisti italiani di sempre, Edoardo Bennato - mai abbastanza valutato e apprezzato - che un volta disse:
TUTTO NELLA VITA PRIMA O POI POTRA' DELUDERTI E VENIRE MENO MA ESISTE UNA SOLA COSA CHE NON TI TRADIRA' MAI: IL ROCK. SOLO SUL ROCK NON DEVI AVERE MAI DUBBI.
Dopo 48 anni posso dire a testa alta e con cognizione di causa: Edo avevi proprio ragione !

Dal miglior album solista del chitarrista inglese, quello che secondo me è il brano più riuscito dell'album.
Una collaborazione improbabile che ha generato un pezzo semplicemente stupendo: sia nella musica che nei testi.
Ogni volta che lo ascolto e sono un pò malinconico mi commuovo e non riesco a non riascoltarlo ancora, e ancora ....
La canzone che ognuno vorrebbe scrivere e dedicare ad un proprio amore che si credeva perduto ma che però non si è mai spento del tutto ....
Masterpiece, imho.
